Day 1~FOR REAL!

Ok so I know, I know, I already said that my Day 1 of P90X was like three weeks ago, but with all the concert preparation and school work, I was not finding time at all. SO...tomorrow, November 16th will be my official Day 1! I only am announcing this to everyone because I want you to hold me to it! I want people to know so that I can stay committed and not slack off! Haha. Make sense? I decided to do this for several reasons, but mainly because I want to look good for an audition for a summer dance workshop which is approaching quickly. Also, I just want like a cleansed rejuvenation! I feel like it will also help my dancing-which is most important! :)
Ok, so I was just thinking that since I am setting this goal for my physical self, I also need to help myself spiritually. So I am making a new goal to go to the temple at least twice a month! I haven't gone for a long time, unfortunately, so I really need to go! And, of course, I need to work on my scripture reading and prayer as well. I know you're probably thinking, 'Heather, how do you think you're going to have time for all of this?..' but I think it will be fine! I know that if I am working on my spiritual growth and testimony, then the Lord will help me accomplish my other goals, like succeeding in school and doing well in my audition (if that's the right path for me). I am really excited! Anyone that would like to go to the temple with me-please let me know-I'd love to have some company! I am thinking the best times for me to go are either real early or at night, but I'll keep you updated, either on here or facebook.
I just have to say Thank you for everyone that supported me by going to my Synergy concert this past week! It was a great success! I think everyone loved the concert! My dancers did an excellent job! I was very proud of them! Thanks Serena and Lacey! I love you girls! Now that the concert's over, I should have more spare time in the evenings to get my homework done before midnight each day, thank goodness! Although, as holidays are approaching, I find myself scheduling more activities. But you know what, I need to have fun sometime! Haha. This will be ok because I will have a good balance, right?
I am extremely excited for December 11th because I was invited to go to a Choreography competition in Arizona with my company director ! There will be mostly all professional dance companies there! Last year she choreographed a dance on CDE, the pre-professional dance company at UVU that did very well. So now she's taking that dance to the competition and has asked me, as well as two other dancers, to be in it! I am very flattered and also extremely excited! That's so nice of her! We'll be gone Dec 11 and 12 and come back on the 13th! I hope it all goes well! :)
My cute cousin is coming this weekend to scope out BYU and see if this is the school she wants to come to next year after she graduates. She is from Georgia. I love her, she's like my favorite cousin! So I need help planning activities! She's coming this weekend and I want to plan some fun activities to get her excited for BYU. Does anyone have any fun ideas? I am taking her to get a tour and to the creamery, shopping too. All you BYU students, let me know your ideas please! Thanks! I appreciate it!
Attention! Kala Lee's bridal shower is Nov 25 from 7-9pm at my house, I hope all can come! It's going to be a blast! I can't wait! I'll send out invitations soon so please make sure I have your address!
Well that's the update with me! I hope everyone is doing well! Love you all! Thanks!

It's Rodeo Round-up Time!!! Everyone Comes Home for Strawberry Days!
Funny Faces! Hah! We took a lot of those!

Last night was a blast! Jody, Megan and I went to the Strawberry Days, PG rodeo! I loved it so much last year, I had to make sure we got to go again! We did get rained on, but it was fun and quite the experience! Good thing we're close friends and don't mind huddlin' under one umbrella! :) Motocross was my favorite-oh AND the Bare-back buckin' broncs! I think it's because they're the most dangerous? ;) I guess it's more attractive! Ha jk! It is just an amazing event! Anyway, enjoy the photos and the crazy intense videos! Oh and please disregard the annoying screaming voice in the background! (ME! Whoops! haha) It was a blast!
This last video sure was a mess-up! We were trying to be funny and take a funny face picture, but I had forgotten my camera was set to record! Haha it's pretty much hilarious! I almost cried laughing so hard! Haha! Enjoy! :)

I love summer, despite the rain!
This weekend's been a blast! Although it has been raining like crazy, I mean, this is summer, isn't it? Haha. It's ok, rain can be fun too! Well, Thursday was incredibly boring for me because I went to school and studied for finals all day long! It's hard being the only one home and having all your friends work during the day. I work on the weekends, so during the school year especially, my social life is a bit limited on the weekends. It's ok because I do love my job and I'm grateful for it, I just wish I had more time to spend with my friends. SO, the reason why i brought up Thursday is because I had a Fabulous time on Friday and Saturday! First, I took my sister Natalie's kids, Jason and Mattea swimming at the Orem pool and played for a long time! They're so funny! They're getting pretty good at swimming!
After I was done babysitting, I went to Camille Belnap's wedding reception! Actually, she is now Camille Spence! Her and Logan were sealed in the Mt. Timpanogos temple. She looked beautiful! The reception was fun as well! I'm so happy for her!
Saturday was the best part of my weekend! My mom and I drove to Park City and shopped in the Tanger Outlets! It's great to shop there because everything is on sale! :) My mom and I had a lot of fun buying summer clothes! We decided it was ok because we just got paid! :) haha. Well once we got home, I went to my old studio's ballet performance. It made me miss dance so much! I miss performing! They did a great job! It's fun to see the girls progress! Moryah and the Love family were there too~which is always a pleasure to see them! They're too funny!
Hopefully I'm not boring you yet, but after the ballet, I was supposed to go on a date! Can you believe it!? Although it didn't work out because he was helping at his best friend's wedding reception, so I forgive him, but he made up for it later, (I'll tell you in one moment). This boy that I was supposed to go with is Zach. He used to work with me in Psych, but he moved last year for Medical school in England! He travels a lot, which is very cool. We went on about 3 or 4 dates last summer (before I was dating Micah exclusively). He's a really cool guy and we had a lot of fun! When he moved o England, we kept in touch through email, but not too often. He's been in town this weekend before he goes back to school in Grenada, which is in the Carribean! Wouldn't it be wonderful to go there for school?! He's lucky! Well since we were not able to go out on Saturday, he called me last night to see when the best time possible would be for us to hang out. His family left for a vacation in Snowbird this afternoon so we could only get together this morning. He came over at 7am! Haha, yes way early, but it was worth it! We went for a walk and then came back home and talked for about an hour before he had to leave. He's a great guy! I have become good friends with him. I wish we could have spent more time together, but I understand. He'll be leaving for medical school right when he gets back from Snowbird. I was glad I got to see him though!
I have the best visiting teaching companion and girls to teach! Kala is my companion and we visit Megan Leavitt! I love those girls so much! We went to Megan's today and caught up on life! She's a great girl! I have the best friends ever! All of them!
Well, hopefully I didn't bore you too much! I have finals for the next two weeks so I wont be updating anytime soon. Although, my fun friends, keep having a fun summer and don't forget to call me when you want to play, hike, swim, etc! Love ya, bye! :)

Congratulations Mr Thomas and Serena Miller!
This is a picture of my beautiful friend, Serena, who just married Tom yesterday! This is one of their engagement photos.
I had the privilege of being one of her bridesmaids yesterday, along with Shannon and 10 other girls! It was a lot of fun! They were married yesterday at the Mt Timpanogos temple at noon. I went a little early and sat in the waiting room, watching all the brides come out and be greeted by their families! It was very neat! I had just worked a graveyard shift the night before, slept for about 2.5 hours, then went to the temple. So, me already being an emotional person, lacking on sleep just added to the emotions to say the least! Haha. While I was watching the brides and waiting for Serena, I was thinking how wonderful it would be to have my endowments out and to be sealed for ETERNITY! :) I am so excited for that day! I can wait though! Haha.
When Serena and Tom came out, they looked so incredably happy! We cheered for them! Serena was so cute, she raised her arms and shouted, "We're Married!" and Tom, excitingly responded, clenching his fists, yelled, "Yeah!" Haha! That was funny! We all hugged her and said how happy we were for them. Serena looked absolutely beautiful!
Shann and I had fun being in all the fun pictures! Thanks Serena! They had a great photographer! I am considering using her for my photos, but that's not anytime soon.
I think she's like the happiest couple I've seen together since my siblings have been married! They seem so perfect for each other!
Seeing how happy they are made me think, I need to be that happy and in love when I am married! I cannot settle for anything less! Before they got married, I could tell how ready Serena was, I could see how the spirit had helped her and how she KNEW that it was right, without a doubt! I definitely want to be that way! I want to live my life with no regrets!
I find myself planning my whole future out, exactly how i want it. But I just decided, as long as I stick to my goals, pray, and keep the commandments, the Lord will guide me to make the right decisions and to not be so guarded or stubborn. I believe in the power of prayer! It really works! I am so grateful to live in such a wonderful environment with amazing family and friends that are an excellent example to me. I am so grateful for the gospel! I am so grateful for everything that I have! Thank you everyone!
Once again, Congrats Serena and Tom! You're going to make beautiful children someday! :) You're sealed for ETERNITY! Yahoo! I love you!

John's Graduation!
Wow! Words cannot express how proud I am of my brother! Last weekend, my family and I went down to Cedar City to see John graduate with his Bachelors in Science Nursing from SUU! He did it! He was even asked to speak at his graduation! THey asked him to speak about the "funny stuff" that happened while going to school with all the other students. Since John is funny, they definitely picked the right person! :) Haha. He's hilarious!
In the second graduation session, Pres. Monson spoke! I was extremely excited! Of course, he did an excellent job!
It was so warm there! I had a blast playing with my spoiled niece, haha well not that spoiled! She's so funny! She would not let go of my mom, her grandma, the entire vacation. Then, when my mom left and I stayed an extra day, she was so clingy to me! It was so cute!
Guess what! My swimming has been getting better! I love it! I love swimming and I love the fact that my knee does not hurt when I swim! Yay! I am so extremely glad! :) I'm going to stick to it!
Well I was planning on going to Goblin Valley today with my single's ward, but i can't find any girls that I know that will go with me. THey're all busy. Ben's going and I would love to hang out with him too, i just need a girl there as well, to share a tent with you know! SO anyone reading this, would you like to go with me?!!!! We'd be leaving at 4pm so please let me know asap!!! I really would love to go!!

Yay! Finals are over!
Wow, can I just say this semester has been pretty intense to say the least. With ACDFA, Synergy's concert and all my classes, it's been jam-packed, but I have loved all of it too! Right now, I'm just waiting to go to my last final, which is my ballet 3 class. It isn't really a final, we're just meeting and getting some evaluations back AND we'll be dancing just for FUN! Yay! Haha! I haven't had a dance class for about five days now and it's killing me! Haha. I feel so out of shape already.
Although, I have to tell you about my new love for swimming! Since I have had pateller tendonitis for way too long, due to overuse and too much running, it's not getting better at the moment, so I am trying to be nice to my body and swim instead of run! Now, swimming laps has always been pretty difficult for me so I asked my friend, Devon, to help me learn the proper technique. She came and watched me swim-haha that was a funny sight since I was making it way more difficult than necessary, and she taught me some great things that have really been helping me a lot! I love that girl. I've only been able to go to the pool about twice a week because I currently don't have a pass and it gets expensive after a while. Although, Lindon is getting a new pool that I am praying will have lap lanes for me to use. I love being outside so I would much rather have a pass there or at the scera pool. So I went swimming yesterday and it started off kind of poorly, but then when i started to feel more relaxed I did better. (I swear it is all mental!) Once I started feeling more confortable, the best thing happened to me. Normally I'm the slow one in the lap lane, shared by about 3 people at time. BUT yesterday I was doing so well that I caught up to someone and I had to slow done and let them get ahead of me! That sounds stupid, but I was rather proud of myself! :) So if anyone wants to join me, you're more than welcome! I am however, still a bit slow, meaning I take tiny breaks inbetween each lap because I'm still getting used to the breathing part (Which is kinda important, haha).
So I've set a lot of goals for this summer and am still working on setting more. Here is a list of some things that I would like to accomplish:
1. Finish all books I began reading, but have never finished.
2. Finish Book of Mormon
3. Do well in my summer classes.
4. Get my knee better
5. Get fabulous at swimming!
6. Play with ALL my fantastic friends! (Even if they have boyfriends, they'll have to play with me!)
7. Make and decorate a cake with very elaborate designs.
8.Scrapbook photos of Micah and I
9.Finish Dad's mission scrapbook
10. Hike Timpanogos 10 more times (Some at midnight) (Everyone is invited! It's the best mountain and best hike ever!)
11. Climb more of the Seven Peaks in Utah
12. Go to 7 Peaks water park! (I have a pass if anyone wants to go with me)
13. Write in my journal more
14. Get somewhat of a tan (sometimes this is a lost cause :P haha)
15. Spend more time with my sistas!
16. Attend more social events, besides just dance social events
17. Take yoga with Natalie and Jody (and whomever else would like to do it with me)
18. Take a MILLION pictures to document my fun summer!
19. Go boating?
20.Go to Fish Lake cabin
21. Go Fourwheeling! Yahoo!
22. Ride my bicycle
23. Learn to cook more meals
24. Soak up the Sun!
25. DANCE IT UP! (Of course!)
So, I know the list can go on and on, but I want you all to know that I love you and you're all invited to join me on any of the goals ok! You must call me and play with me! You must because I miss you all! You know who you are ;) haha! Love ya!

Happy Easter!
After Suzy left, I went running in the cold rain. It was a good run, despite the fact that I was soaking wet, but it was also refreshing. After my run, I spent an hour at the library, then drove to see RDT, a professional company perform at the Rose Wagner in SLC. It was amazing! It was fun because Angie, an alumnus and one of my teachers at UVU, performed with RDT! She did a beautiful job! I was definitely inspired!
CHurch the next day was amazing! I love hearing the music, I feel the spirit so strongly! Kala did a great job organizing the whole sacrament! Oh and I got to meet her amazing boyfriend, Adam! He is really good to her and I am so happy for her! I just miss her a lot and hope that I can spend some time with her soon!!! Don't forget about me, girl! :)
Later on that day, I spent some time with my family, which was fun! Except they all left right when I got there, so we were alittle disappointed. Well, after that, I went to Micah's house to bring Moryah her birthday present! I love that girl so much! It was so great to talk to her. The family is wonderful. Micah's doing well, although we've been praying a lot for him and his companion because his companion is really lazy and may be depressed so Micah really wants to get out and work, but he can't go alone. At least he's getting more time to study. I know the Lord will bless him and I pray things will get brighter for his companion. I better get back to homework before I go to work today. Love you all! Don't hesitate to call me when you can play in these upcoming weeks! Muah!

The Newest Member of the Nielsen Family!!!
Today, we adopted a new member into our family! He's clean, efficent, shiny, and smells good too! No, he's not a new boyfriend...It's a new washing machine!! Haha! Fooled you! Haha. Well the reason why I even care enough to post this is because I just got to wash the first wash and magically, my clothes came out almost dry and even cleaner and brighter than I rememeber! Wow! It really does help when you use a new washer as compared to one that' s 20+ years old! (Our old one lasted that long!) Anyway, what can i say, it's midnight, and I'm a nerd! haha! After tomorrow I'll post our awesome easter photos for you! love you all! I hope you love doing laundry as much as I do now! haha JK.! BYE!

Tired, but excited!
These pictures are of Lacey and I in the dance called "Floored" by Beth Dickson. The photos are from our Synergy concert on March 6, but the performance from tonight was the same dance, only we made some changes that enhanced the piece :) Sorry they aren't the best photos, haha!

Oops, a little blurry!
Tonight was the last time I was able to perform Beth Dickson's Senior piece at the Senior Capstone concert. When you are a senior in the BFA dance program, you're required to choreograph an 8-10min piece for this concert. My cute friend, Lacey and I had the privilege to be in Beth's piece which was about her and her father who passed away a few years ago from MS. Beth is a wonderful woman and she is so full of light. I felt her love for her father when she choreographed and coached us through. I hope that I was able to portray the true meaning behind the dance. Lacey is the cutest girl and also very talented. It was awesome to dance with her too! I just love dancing!! I love the fact that I can portray how I feel though my movement and dance. Dance is very therapuetic for me. I don't know what I would do without it. It really bothers me when people ask me what I am going to school for and when I tell them that I am majoring in dance, they seem to look down on that or seem disappointed. They ask why? How do you make money with that? and, my favorite,"What on earth are you going to do with that degree?" I am actually getting used to it, but the only reason why I bring it up is because my amazing ballet teacher, who is very knowlegeable, gave us a little inspirational talk today. We talked aout a lot of things. One thing he said that I loved was "It's more important to make a Life than a Living!" When he said that I was thinking, "YES! You're so right!" I wish everyone knew that. That's how I feel about dancing. ALso, I dance for myself because i love it and I love how it makes me feel. It's not good to be dancing to prove people wrong, you need to dance for yourself! That's how you'll get far. Its my ultimate dream to be a professional dancer! I am working so hard and I push myself all the time, I know i'm not perfect, but I want so badly to succeed in dance and be able to perform and share my talents with everyone. I am determined and I'm doing everything I can to get there! I'm so grateful for my family, especially my mom for being so supportive to me and my decisions in life. My mom is always helping me think positively and providing me with unlimited encouragement as well! I love her! and my daddy too!! They are the best parents ever! :)Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now. That's just been on my mind a lot. School is coming to an end in about 4 weeks and I am thrilled! Although, I sure will miss having technique everyday! I'll be going to yoga a lot and hopefully some class at my studio to stay in shape until my workshop. I have just been so tired lately. I can't hide it anymore, haha. So I am ready for school to end. I will be taking 2 classes on the first block, but that's all! haha! Unfortunately, my work schedule will stay the same, only working on the weekends, because I don't want to loose those hours for when school starts up again.
Despite my incredably tired and sore body, I am doing well. I have a lot of good things happenening for me and I am really privileged. AND best of all, conference is tomorrow, which I am very eager for! I know there will be something that I need to hear and that will help me. I have been praying for guidance and happiness. I am so grateful for our prophet Pres. Monson and the fact that we can have direct advice and council from the Lord. We live in an amazing time!
Well I better conclude, sorry if this was so random, I have just had a lot on my mind. To my friends, please call me if you ever need to talk or play! I love to do that! And, I love you guys and I always want to help! So, don't hesitate! Love you all! Goodnight!

Here's my beautiful Momma and I in front of the Beautiful Temple! :)

Last Thursday, my mom and I attended the Draper, UT temple openhouse! I was very very excited to finally get the chance to go! Well...it was the most amazing thing ever! That temple is so beautiful too! When we walked through the rooms, i was just feeling the spirit so strongly! I started to get a little teary-eyed in the Bride room, which I LOVE! Then in the ordinance room I read the sign that said something about how that is the room that connects us to our Heavenly Father and is the first ordinance before sealing. (I don't really remember exactly what it said, but it was similar to that). When I read that the spirit just hit me because I am so eager and I can't wait to be able to get my endowments out and be that much closer to the Lord! I wish I could do it now! The Celestial room is absolutely gorgeous! I didn't want to leave at all and of course, the sealing room was beautiful as well! I just love going to the temple and being in the Lord's house and feeling his spirit! I can't wait for the day to take out my endowments! (I can wait for the marriage part though, lol don't want to rush that!) This next sunday is the temple dedication and I am excited for that! Everyone should go! :) I love that my mom was able to be with me when I had this experience! She's such a sweetheart and I love her!

My Birthday!!!
I can't believe I'm 20 years old now! I feel so old, haha! I'm no longer a teenager! Hopefully I'm as mature as my age because I sure don't feel like I should be 20 already! Wow!
My birthday was wonderful! All my friends sang to me at school! I love them! Then at night, to celebrate, my family came over for dinner and we had Carrot cake from Kneader's bakery (delicious!) and ice cream! Oh and you can't forget the little dancing and limbo we all did together with my neices and nephews! Of course, there always has to be dancing at my parties! ;) Haha. My mom and Natalie's Fam gave me some nice stuff for dance. Suzanne and Nate gave me some cute jewelry! Kala came over too! I was so excited to see her. There were so many of my friends and family that called me to wish me a happy birthday! It was so nice to talk to you all! YOu're all so sweet! I loved that day so much, it was hard to wake up to reality the next day and go to school! haha. Fortunately I get to do what I love at school! :) Here are a few pictures from the big day! Enjoy! :)

Yay for Sunday!
Wow yesterday was a crazy day! We filmed our Dance for Camera project in the new school library! I'm so excited to see it! We still have to edit it, but hopefully it will be a masterpiece when it's completed! Haha! Yesterday was long and a bit tedious but for the most part, i enjoyed running around in the library, dancing, spinning on chairs, running into bookshelves, dropping books, etc. We were respectful of course, but it was fun!
Guess what! I just completed my visiting teaching!! Haha! It is my very first time and i'm so relieved! I love the girls i teach and my fun partner Jenny! She's a sweetheart!
Tomorrow is Micah's birthday! I"m so excited for him to recieve the GINORMOUS package I sent him! It's supposed to arrive ON his birthday! I hope he loves it! I sent him tons of cookies, a door bball hoop, first aid essentials, valentine candy for him and his companion and more! Hopefully he loves it! I love that Mish of mine! He's such a sweetie! I was so relieved to get a letter from him this week! It was much needed! He totally made my week even more wonderful!
Oh so I have an exciting thing that happened this week! I auditioned for a piece that will be in my concert on March 6. We have a guest choreographer from the company called Diavolo I think that's located in Las Vegas. Her name is Monica. She auditioned us for her piece that she only wanted 6 dancers in! The audition was quick, as usual! But I MADE IT! I am so happy! I am loving her piece so far! She's a very nice woman and I love her process too! Her piece is about Buddapest, and when the Nazi's were there. It should be really cool! I'm learning a lot! I can't wait for the show! It's coming up in like 3 weeks! Crazy! I am excited, hopefully my knee will start healing quicker! Well I better get to church! Love you all!

January's over already?!
Wow this month has gone by super fast and I have not updated this since Christmas! Sorry, life's been pretty interesting and busy this month School started and I'm taking 17 credits, so that's keeping me busy and I am rehearsing pretty often with Synergy but I do love it. I love being busy too, so that's ok. I'll just give an update of the latest...
So this morning I had scholarship auditions for UVU. They went pretty well and I loved the movement that was taught by the fabulous Amy and Angie. :) I wasn't that nervous either. I was at times, but I felt much better about it than last year. I am hoping i'll get one, but they only have about 14 for the whole department, so who knows. It was fun though. Tonight I'm going to see the Amazing Ririe-Woodbury concert, The Crystal and the Sphere. It is their kid show so it's a little crazy and it's Nicholais' work, but I do love it! They're still wonderful to me! I want to be on that company someday! Unfortunately, I have tendonitis in my patellar tendon right now so I haven't been able to run for about 2 months and I'm going crazy! I'm going to the physical therapist so hopefully it will start making progress soon! I'm really tired of it hurting...
FOr the past month in Synergy, we've been working on a "Dance for Camera" film project. It is very exciting and we're filming next saturday. We got a grant of $5000 to have a film crew come with their cool equipment and film us. People generally make Dance for Cameras as like a resume or a way to show their style and technique. Then they would send it to a company, for example, as an audition. We are making ours more fun,! We're filming ours in the Library of UVU and it will be all about sounds in the library...basically it turns into a party! Haha, I am so excited to see it after we are done editing! It's a lot of work, but it'll be worth it. We will be showing all the four different films at our concert on March 6! So everyone should come, please! :) Anywho, here is a link to a film that is a Dance for Camera ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75ZxACmt4b4 ) that was done somewhere in like Greenland or something. It is called "Queens for a Day-Part 1. It's very cool! Please watch it!
Everything else is going pretty well...i haven't recieved a letter from Micah in about 4 1/2 weeks so I am really missing him a lot right now, but I know it's ok because he's doing the Lord's work and that's what's most important to me :) I love him!
I hope you all, my lovely friends and family are doing well! I pray for you always! love you much and hope to see you soon! :)
