Yay! Finals are over!

Wow, can I just say this semester has been pretty intense to say the least. With ACDFA, Synergy's concert and all my classes, it's been jam-packed, but I have loved all of it too! Right now, I'm just waiting to go to my last final, which is my ballet 3 class. It isn't really a final, we're just meeting and getting some evaluations back AND we'll be dancing just for FUN! Yay! Haha! I haven't had a dance class for about five days now and it's killing me! Haha. I feel so out of shape already.
Although, I have to tell you about my new love for swimming! Since I have had pateller tendonitis for way too long, due to overuse and too much running, it's not getting better at the moment, so I am trying to be nice to my body and swim instead of run! Now, swimming laps has always been pretty difficult for me so I asked my friend, Devon, to help me learn the proper technique. She came and watched me swim-haha that was a funny sight since I was making it way more difficult than necessary, and she taught me some great things that have really been helping me a lot! I love that girl. I've only been able to go to the pool about twice a week because I currently don't have a pass and it gets expensive after a while. Although, Lindon is getting a new pool that I am praying will have lap lanes for me to use. I love being outside so I would much rather have a pass there or at the scera pool. So I went swimming yesterday and it started off kind of poorly, but then when i started to feel more relaxed I did better. (I swear it is all mental!) Once I started feeling more confortable, the best thing happened to me. Normally I'm the slow one in the lap lane, shared by about 3 people at time. BUT yesterday I was doing so well that I caught up to someone and I had to slow done and let them get ahead of me! That sounds stupid, but I was rather proud of myself! :) So if anyone wants to join me, you're more than welcome! I am however, still a bit slow, meaning I take tiny breaks inbetween each lap because I'm still getting used to the breathing part (Which is kinda important, haha).
So I've set a lot of goals for this summer and am still working on setting more. Here is a list of some things that I would like to accomplish:
1. Finish all books I began reading, but have never finished.
2. Finish Book of Mormon
3. Do well in my summer classes.
4. Get my knee better
5. Get fabulous at swimming!
6. Play with ALL my fantastic friends! (Even if they have boyfriends, they'll have to play with me!)
7. Make and decorate a cake with very elaborate designs.
8.Scrapbook photos of Micah and I
9.Finish Dad's mission scrapbook
10. Hike Timpanogos 10 more times (Some at midnight) (Everyone is invited! It's the best mountain and best hike ever!)
11. Climb more of the Seven Peaks in Utah
12. Go to 7 Peaks water park! (I have a pass if anyone wants to go with me)
13. Write in my journal more
14. Get somewhat of a tan (sometimes this is a lost cause :P haha)
15. Spend more time with my sistas!
16. Attend more social events, besides just dance social events
17. Take yoga with Natalie and Jody (and whomever else would like to do it with me)
18. Take a MILLION pictures to document my fun summer!
19. Go boating?
20.Go to Fish Lake cabin
21. Go Fourwheeling! Yahoo!
22. Ride my bicycle
23. Learn to cook more meals
24. Soak up the Sun!
25. DANCE IT UP! (Of course!)

So, I know the list can go on and on, but I want you all to know that I love you and you're all invited to join me on any of the goals ok! You must call me and play with me! You must because I miss you all! You know who you are ;) haha! Love ya!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! SOrry that this is a week late, school's been holding me up, and I still should be doing homework, haha. Well, last Saturday, Suzanne and baby Lincoln came over and we dyed Easter Eggs! Now, this dye was so amazing! (Haha, GO ALBERTSONS!!) It was almost like tie-dye! And the best part was, it came with sparkles to put on after! Haha, I'm a nerd! Well, we had a blast doing this. I took some fabulous pictures. You'll see that I accidently overcooked one, and then dropped another on the floor...oops! Haha, but that's what makes me a Clutzateer! (right ash? ;) )

After Suzy left, I went running in the cold rain. It was a good run, despite the fact that I was soaking wet, but it was also refreshing. After my run, I spent an hour at the library, then drove to see RDT, a professional company perform at the Rose Wagner in SLC. It was amazing! It was fun because Angie, an alumnus and one of my teachers at UVU, performed with RDT! She did a beautiful job! I was definitely inspired!

CHurch the next day was amazing! I love hearing the music, I feel the spirit so strongly! Kala did a great job organizing the whole sacrament! Oh and I got to meet her amazing boyfriend, Adam! He is really good to her and I am so happy for her! I just miss her a lot and hope that I can spend some time with her soon!!! Don't forget about me, girl! :)

Later on that day, I spent some time with my family, which was fun! Except they all left right when I got there, so we were alittle disappointed. Well, after that, I went to Micah's house to bring Moryah her birthday present! I love that girl so much! It was so great to talk to her. The family is wonderful. Micah's doing well, although we've been praying a lot for him and his companion because his companion is really lazy and may be depressed so Micah really wants to get out and work, but he can't go alone. At least he's getting more time to study. I know the Lord will bless him and I pray things will get brighter for his companion. I better get back to homework before I go to work today. Love you all! Don't hesitate to call me when you can play in these upcoming weeks! Muah!

The Newest Member of the Nielsen Family!!!

Today, we adopted a new member into our family! He's clean, efficent, shiny, and smells good too! No, he's not a new boyfriend...It's a new washing machine!! Haha! Fooled you! Haha. Well the reason why I even care enough to post this is because I just got to wash the first wash and magically, my clothes came out almost dry and even cleaner and brighter than I rememeber! Wow! It really does help when you use a new washer as compared to one that' s 20+ years old! (Our old one lasted that long!) Anyway, what can i say, it's midnight, and I'm a nerd! haha! After tomorrow I'll post our awesome easter photos for you! love you all! I hope you love doing laundry as much as I do now! haha JK.! BYE!

Tired, but excited!

These pictures are of Lacey and I in the dance called "Floored" by Beth Dickson. The photos are from our Synergy concert on March 6, but the performance from tonight was the same dance, only we made some changes that enhanced the piece :) Sorry they aren't the best photos, haha!

Oops, a little blurry!
Tonight was the last time I was able to perform Beth Dickson's Senior piece at the Senior Capstone concert. When you are a senior in the BFA dance program, you're required to choreograph an 8-10min piece for this concert. My cute friend, Lacey and I had the privilege to be in Beth's piece which was about her and her father who passed away a few years ago from MS. Beth is a wonderful woman and she is so full of light. I felt her love for her father when she choreographed and coached us through. I hope that I was able to portray the true meaning behind the dance. Lacey is the cutest girl and also very talented. It was awesome to dance with her too! I just love dancing!! I love the fact that I can portray how I feel though my movement and dance. Dance is very therapuetic for me. I don't know what I would do without it. It really bothers me when people ask me what I am going to school for and when I tell them that I am majoring in dance, they seem to look down on that or seem disappointed. They ask why? How do you make money with that? and, my favorite,"What on earth are you going to do with that degree?" I am actually getting used to it, but the only reason why I bring it up is because my amazing ballet teacher, who is very knowlegeable, gave us a little inspirational talk today. We talked aout a lot of things. One thing he said that I loved was "It's more important to make a Life than a Living!" When he said that I was thinking, "YES! You're so right!" I wish everyone knew that. That's how I feel about dancing. ALso, I dance for myself because i love it and I love how it makes me feel. It's not good to be dancing to prove people wrong, you need to dance for yourself! That's how you'll get far. Its my ultimate dream to be a professional dancer! I am working so hard and I push myself all the time, I know i'm not perfect, but I want so badly to succeed in dance and be able to perform and share my talents with everyone. I am determined and I'm doing everything I can to get there! I'm so grateful for my family, especially my mom for being so supportive to me and my decisions in life. My mom is always helping me think positively and providing me with unlimited encouragement as well! I love her! and my daddy too!! They are the best parents ever! :)
Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now. That's just been on my mind a lot. School is coming to an end in about 4 weeks and I am thrilled! Although, I sure will miss having technique everyday! I'll be going to yoga a lot and hopefully some class at my studio to stay in shape until my workshop. I have just been so tired lately. I can't hide it anymore, haha. So I am ready for school to end. I will be taking 2 classes on the first block, but that's all! haha! Unfortunately, my work schedule will stay the same, only working on the weekends, because I don't want to loose those hours for when school starts up again.
Despite my incredably tired and sore body, I am doing well. I have a lot of good things happenening for me and I am really privileged. AND best of all, conference is tomorrow, which I am very eager for! I know there will be something that I need to hear and that will help me. I have been praying for guidance and happiness. I am so grateful for our prophet Pres. Monson and the fact that we can have direct advice and council from the Lord. We live in an amazing time!
Well I better conclude, sorry if this was so random, I have just had a lot on my mind. To my friends, please call me if you ever need to talk or play! I love to do that! And, I love you guys and I always want to help! So, don't hesitate! Love you all! Goodnight!
